Gregg grew up in Oak Lawn, llinois in a large family, and started his career in his father ’s car dealership. After working for his dad for a number of years, Gregg had the opportunity to acquire his own dealership in 1997. Since then, the Kunes organization has grown to 28 car dealerships and 14 RV dealerships across llinois, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
In addition to being the sole owner of Kunes Auto Group, Gregg is the managing partner of the historic Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, Wisconsin, a partner in Geneva 10 an Amazon fulfillment company, and has significant real estate holdings.
Gregg, however, is probably most proud of the impact his businesses are able to have in the communities they serve, and to ministries across the globe. Gregg ’s dedicated to tithing from every business entity, and, through the Kunes Family Foundation, is able to give over $1 million annually to charities, churches, and ministries, focusing on helping people in need and building their lives.
Gregg and his wife, Debbie have been married for 40 years, have 7 children and 10 grandchildren.
Scott is Gregg’s oldest son and has been working for the Kunes Group for over 15 years. After a brief career as a Chef, Scott started in the company as our Used Car Director, and has since served in many capacities, including General Manager and Regional General Manager.
David has been with the Kunes Group since 2019 and has made a significant impact on standardizing operations throughout our dealerships. With a background in larger corporate accounting (EY & CAT), David’s expertise allows our operation the structure and security to grow and thrive.
Jennifer joined the Kunes Group in 2013 - and leads our in house marketing agency. She and her team work with stores not only to produce timely and effective advertising messaging, but also to assist with lead conversion, online reputation and sales effectiveness.
Bob started with the Kunes Group nearly 20 years ago and brings solid fixed operations experience, processes and controls to the group. He and his team provide consistent training and support to our parts and service departments so that we can provide the best possible customer experience.
Our Special Finance department is very important to our group - both as a revenue generator and philosphically. Scot has been with our team since 2014, and we believe that getting people with credit challenges into a vehicle not only sells cars, but it indeed Builds Peoples Lives.
Richard leads our Legal team and has helped the Kunes organization for years in private practice before becoming an official member of the team. His expertise in acquisition and real estate transactions are an integral to our success in expansions.

In addition to our Executive Leadership Team, our strength as a group truly comes from our focused dedication to provide our dealerships with all of the tools and support they need to succeed.
We have found that having corporate teams to assist our dealerships provides a more cohesive and consistent approach than we can achieve in each store, and also take advantage of economies of scale that allows us to keep Office expenses down and remain profitable Accounting.
We have a team of six professionals who work throughout our group providing day-to-day fixes and support as well as master planning for growth, scheduled maintenance and scheduled replacements.
In addition to the Special Finance mentioned above, we have a small team of floaters, trainers and problem solvers that allow us to get more deals done and ensure compliance standards.
Our BDC director and regional managers assist stores with effective lead handling and maximizing our efforts.
Our sales training teams comes alongside managers in the stores and with off site sessions to teach best practices to our team.
Our in house agency assists stores with placement, management and analysis of all advertising & marketing needs - both digital and traditional - as well as assisting with sales effectiveness.
The construction team assists with large and small tasks as well as serving as a GC for building projects.
